Kendra's first day of school

Kendra started Kindergarten this year!!!  Before school started we went to Utah for the weekend and Grandma Nessen, aunt Corky and I took her shopping for clothes. I also went to Joe parents house and dug out a box of Kendra's old clothes that now fit Victoria. So both girls had new things for the closets. When we got home to Idaho the girls held a fashion show for Joe. He took pictures of all their fun new outfits. It was a blast for all of us!! Her teachers name is Mrs. Wilson. She absolutely loves school. She calls all of the kids in her class friend. When I drop her off and pick her up she is always waving and saying Hi/Bye Friend. It is so dang cute. On the first day we all went to drop her off. The second day she road the bus to school and I met her there to make sure she was okay. I was really nervous about the bus. They pick up all grades from k-12 on the same bus. They then drop off the elementary kids, then middle school, then junior high, then high school. So Kendra is on the bus with kids from ages 5 to 18. Just not ideal if you ask me. But she did great. She then road the bus the rest of that week and then next. Then one morning while she was eating her breakfast she said " Mom I am done with the bus you can take me to school" I asked why and she replied " cause I have had enough and I am just done with it. Mom you are my mom and I want you to take me". So I now take her and pick her up (there is now mid-day transportation for kindergarten provided by the schools). I am so OK with her being shielded from the language and attitudes of the older kids. Yes, I know she will be around it at school but I see no problems with trying to delay it. School has been a great new journey at our house.
