Today we went to the Madison County fair. It was really small but much fun. There where 4 rides for small children and then about 4 rides for older children and then 4 game booths. Like I said small. Today was the last day and little did we know they close early on the last day. We thought we would go at night to see the lights of the rides and stuff......they were cleaning up and we got there at 7. Again small town. The rides where still running even though the exhibits where almost all cleaned up. The girls had a blast riding on the rides. They did get really cold though. A storm blew in and it dropped the temp to 52 degrees. They where on the little train ride and all of the sudden we got hit with pea size hail. They stopped the ride and we grabbed the girls (they were the only ones on the ride) and ran for shelter. Once the hail stopped we walked in the ran the rest of the time. We decided to get some funnel cakes and go home. I think the hole hour we where there, there was only about 50 other people there with us. It was wonderful. Almost as if we had the whole thing to ourselves!!! We had to walk through the animal barns to get back to our car. Luckily there where still 3 left. One miniature horse and 2 pigs. The girls loved seeing them. I forgot my camera so these are from my phone. All in all the girls are still smiling from ear to ear. It was a great family adventure in this small part of the world.

  1. We went to the Davis County Fair yesterday. It was fun. Lots of kid things. Michelle loved the petting zoo the most.
